work with us
For volunteers, vendors, artists, authors, and other creative professionals
We are looking for volunteers for Romantasy Fair 2026!
Want to experience Romantasy Fair from behind the scenes and help us bring a little bit of magic to life?
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our crew on October 10th at the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam. As a volunteer, you’ll help us make sure everything runs smoothly before, during and/or after the event.
What are we looking for?
You don’t need any previous event experience to volunteer at Romantasy Fair. We’re mainly looking for people who are enthusiastic, reliable, proactive and happy to help. Events can be unpredictable, so it’s important that you’re comfortable switching between tasks when needed. Sometimes that might mean helping visitors find their way, while ten minutes later we may need you to quickly bring something backstage or help us manage a queue.
Most importantly: we’re looking for people who enjoy being part of a team and don’t mind rolling up their sleeves!
We want volunteering to be fun, too. You’re helping us create Romantasy Fair, but you should also get a chance to experience some of the event yourself. Depending on your shift and responsibilities, we’ll make sure there are breaks throughout the day and aim to give everyone some free time to explore the Fair or enjoy part of the Ball. Of course, we will make sure to have food, snacks and drinks available for you throughout your shift.
Before the event, you’ll receive more information about your schedule, tasks, arrival time and practical details. There will always be members of our core crew available to tell you what needs to be done and answer any questions.
Volunteer Roles & Shifts
There are several ways you can help us bring Romantasy Fair to life! Volunteers will be divided into four main teams. Most volunteer shifts will last approximately 3–6 hours, and you can let us know your availability and preferences when applying.
You won’t necessarily be doing all of the tasks listed below; these are examples to give you an idea of what each team may be helping with.
